The project records qawwali performances, devotional chants, dhamaal rhythms, and oral poetry recited by devotees, creating an archive of sounds that reflect centuries of mystical tradition. By preserving these sounds, Whispering Indus aims to highlight the cultural and spiritual depth of shrines, while providing audiences with an immersive experience that connects them to the soulful heartbeat of Pakistan’s heritage. The project serves as both preservation and inspiration—ensuring that the vibrant spiritual culture of Sufism continues to resonate across generations and borders.
