Dadi ki Kahani
“Dadi Ki Kahani” is an oral storytelling initiative designed to preserve the vanishing treasure of folktales, personal anecdotes, and cultural wisdom passed down through elders. Rooted in the age-old tradition of gathering around a grandmother’s lap for stories, this project reconnects younger generations with values, humor, and lessons hidden in oral narratives. Elders from different communities are invited to share tales that shaped their childhoods—ranging from village folklore and historical anecdotes to everyday life stories. These sessions are documented and shared, ensuring that voices, dialects, and traditions are not lost to time. Beyond nostalgia, the project strengthens intergenerational bonds, inspires creative imagination, and provides a living archive of Pakistan’s diverse cultural expressions. In a rapidly modernizing society, “Dadi Ki Kahani” ensures that the warmth of oral storytelling continues to echo, inspiring respect for heritage and empathy across generations.
